Hajj and Umrah are among the top ranked Arkaans in Islamic
law. Offering Hajj whether in Hajj or Umrah requires different rules that must
be met by pilgrims. Ihram is one of the important rules to follow. The ruling
on wearing ihraam is that all Muslims must be in the state of ihraam before
entering the limits of Miqat. Ihram is essentially a non-woven cloth worn by
Muslims during the Hajj to the Holy Kaaba. The rules of men and women are
different. However, both must wear white. We offer a guide to Ihram for pilgrims.

evidence of ihram for Hajj and Umrah for men and women. Let's go ahead.
Rules of Ihram for Men:
The rules of ihram are different for both men and women.
However, both are required to wear black just because this represents that
everyone is equal in the sight of God. The Ihram Guide for Men consists of two
white garments. Clothes sheets should not be sewn. One piece of cloth is the
bottom of the body. It is wrapped around the waist. The whole body must be
covered from the waist to the ankles. Make sure your ankles are bare. The
second piece covers the upper body. The head remains only from Ihraam, and all
other parts of the body must be covered with ihraam. Also, men need to detect
the right shoulder while cruising. In the case of ihraam, pilgrims can only
wear ihram and no other attachment is allowed. Any accessory such as socks or
any type of hat can be worn to cover the head or any other part of the body.
Shoes are allowed only as long as they do not cover the ankles.
Rules of Ihram for Women:
Unlike men, there are no special rules for women to wear
headscarves. However, like men they are also required to wear only white.
Clothes can be sewn and must cover the entire body of the pilgrim. It should be
noted that Ihram must be sewn loosely. Women are also required to cover their
heads. However, the face and hands cannot be covered for both men and women.
Therefore, the face and hands must be visible. Unlike men, women can wear any
type of shoes but make sure that these are not heels. One thing common among
men and women is that both are forbidden to wear perfumes or any perfumed
product.
Restrictions on Ihram for Men and Women:
Unlike wearing ihram only, there are certain rules after
wearing Ihraam which must be fulfilled. Here is a list of permissible things in
normal life, but prohibited in the case of Ihram:
·
It is strictly forbidden to
use perfumes for both men and women in Ihram. Also, they cannot wear any
scented clothes or use perfumed products such as shampoo and soap.
·
Another important
limitation for both men and women is hair removal from the body.
·
It is strictly prohibited
to have sexual relations with your husband or wife.
·
Nail cutting is also
prohibited for both men and women.
·
Women or men cannot also
use any cosmetic product.
·
Fishing is limited to both
men and women.
·
All other prohibited things
are prohibited during normal life, with a stronger focus in the case of ihraam.
